CrafTea Fridays at Moonbush Farm – Summer 2021

This summer, spend an outdoor evening immersed in a simple hands-on project, enjoying a relaxing beverage, the sunset, and the company and conversation of small group of crafters:

Or, BYOB&C (bring your own beverage & craft!)

July 9th (new moon at 6:17pm, sunset at 9:00pm):
On this new moon evening, consider a theme to your project that taps into whatever fresh ideas and possibilities are emerging for you this summer. On the menu: Thai iced tea (Cha Yen), white peony (Pai Mu Tan, hot or iced)

July 23rd (full moon at 7:37pm, sunset at 8:49pm):
What’s coming to fruition? We’ll take note and raise a glass to our individual and collective creative spirits. Stick around afterwards if you like for a walk to a nearby park to watch the moonrise (9:11pm)! On the menu: ceremonial grade Matcha (hot or iced), iced herbal mint/lemonbalm.

August 13th (sunset at 8:21pm)
The heat of mid-summer, fresh off of Lughnasadh, is a good time for a long, slow pause, resting in natural awareness and gratitude before the full press of the harvest. On the menu, two favorites from Lake Missoula Tea Co: Ginger Peach Green, Evening In Missoula (herbal blend) **Update: iced tea only for this one, and shifting later (6:30 – 9PM) because..yeah it is going to be HOT! CrafTea Friday is still on (the porch is well-shaded and we’ll have plenty of cool water), so get out your favorite summery outfit and prepare to just BE and soak it all in.

August 27th (sunset at 7:57pm)
Chinese medicine considers late summer to be a separate fifth season. This end of August into September has a quality of light and energy all its own. For the final CrafTea Friday prototype, we’ll have some optional collaborative projects and a chance to reflect on what we’ve learned. On the menu: sparkling tea cocktails!
